<i>Cribrospirolina distinctiva</i> Haman, 1972, the type species of <i>Cribrospirolina</i> Haman, is considered to be a junior synonym of <i>Nautilus (Lituus) arietinus</i> Batsch, 1971. The genotype should therefore be <i>Cribrospirolina arietina</i> (Batsch).
